Give Me Liberty, or Give Me Death!!!

An exerpt from the famous "Give me liberty, or Give me Death" speach by Patrick Henry

Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts. Is this the part of wise men, engaged in a great and arduous struggle for liberty? Are we disposed to be of the number of those who, having eyes, see not, and, having ears, hear not, the things which so nearly concern their temporal salvation? For my part, whatever anguish of spirit it may cost, I am willing to know the whole truth; to know the worst, and to provide for it.

If you cant see the relevance, then you have been living in a cave for the last few months!!!

If this moves you to take a stand against the Obama administration, please join up with your local tea parties here: http://wesurroundthemusa.ning.com/

Final Thoughts Before Election Day

It is indeed one of the most talked about and the most important election of our lifetime. Tomorrow, we will decide the fate of our country. I have to admit… it’s not looking good. I really can’t understand the liberal hype that the media has shoved down the throats of the American people. Although I have not fallen into the hype, I see many around me that have, and it is just like and addiction! I have found some song lyrics that relate to this situation. The real meaning of the lyrics is the voice of addiction speaking to the individual. Since this country has now become addicted to the ideals of socialism, I feel it is appropriate:

Here is the link to the song and the lyrics to follow: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrEP3RPgEao&feature=related

APC - Pet

Don't fret precious I'm here
Step away from the window
Go back to sleep

Lay your head down child
I won't let the boogeyman come
Counting bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums
Pay no mind to the rabble
Pay no mind to the rabble
Head down, go to sleep
To the rhythm of the war drums

Pay no mind what other voices say
They don't care about you
Like I do
Like I do
Safe from pain and truth and choice and other poison devils
See they don't give a fuck about you
Like I do

Just stay with me
Safe and ignorant
Go back to sleep
Go back to sleep

Lay your head down child
I won't let the boogeyman come
Count the bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drums
Pay no mind to the rabble
Pay no mind to the rabble
Head down, go to sleep
To the rhythm of the war drums

I'll be the one to protect you from
Your enemies and all your demons
I'll be the one to protect you from
A will to survive and a voice of reason
I'll be the one to protect you from
Your enemies and your choices son
One and the same I must isolate you
Isolate and save you from yourself

Swayin to the rhythm of the new world order and
Count the bodies like sheep
To the rhythm of the war drum
The boogeymen are coming
The boogeymen are coming
Keep your head down, go to sleep
To the rhythm of a war drum

Stay with me
Safe and ignorant
Just stay with me
Hold you and protect you from the other ones
The evil ones
Don't love you son
Go back to sleep

As you can see it’s a very powerful song and definitely illustrates the voice of addiction. Like I was saying, the Liberal ideals are the addiction! We as a country are sick of the policies of the Bush administration and have turned to the first glimmer of “hope” that has presented itself. This is a BIG mistake! If the Democrats gain full control of the country, it will never be the same again. All of the ideals that this country was founded on will be lost! I do not want a party leading this country that does not agree with or constitution! I do not want a party leading this country that will take my hard earned money and give it to Joe Shmoe who is too lazy to get off his ass and get a job! I do not want a party leading this country that will turn this country into just another European socialist society! You are all victims of Hitleresque campaign tactics! WAKE UP PEOPLE! Our country depends on it! It is unknown what tomorrow will bring… this however is my last plea as well as a major warning. Please wake up and see the lies and deceit you have been fed. Don’t just listen to the voices and go back to sleep, Wake up and help set this country in the right direction, not towards oblivion.
class="MsoNormal">I can't believe how you Liberals are attacking Palin for being a typical American mom!!! Every American should be able to relate to Palin more than any of the heartless drones you consider good politicians. Look at the Clintons for example... have they ever had a typical American life? Heck no!!! Their marriage is strictly a nearly platonic political contract. Don't you want someone running the country that can relate to the typical American? Don't you want someone who is going to think about the American people rather than just go along with what the respective political party thinks? Palin has more real political experience than Obama has... and so what if her daughter is pregnant... You liberals are all heartless when it comes to killing babies but God forbid Palin's daughter should get knocked up... You act like bible beaters when it benefits you. Oh... and now lets talk about what a drone Obama is! Obama promises to help with the oil market by putting 1 million hybrids on the road... how does he plan on doing this? Heck ya if he wants to give me one... but I sure as heck don't have the money to go out and buy one in the next several years. Oh... and how about this... Obama and the other liberals will cause the downfall of our health system as we know it. Sure.. anyone will be able to go see a doctor… but the quality of treatment will be drastically reduced. You will not longer be able to see specialists in a timely fashion. God forbid you need a transplant or get cancer! You will die well before you receive the proper medical attention. Not to mention how the crumbling health system will devastate the economy. Does this sound like the "change" you want? One of the most disgusting things I have heard about Obama is his (and all the liberals) view ..ion. Obama just blocked a bill from being passed that would protect babies that were born alive during a botched abortion. Let me illustrate this a little more for you… Say a woman decides on getting an abortion late in her term. They give her drugs to induce her uterus into convulsions which literally shake the baby out. The baby comes out and actually is still alive. It could be crying and/or writhing in pain. Without this bill, the doctors are allowed to leave this living, breathing, child to DIE!!! Bet you won't hear that little bit of info about Obama on CNN!!! There are two types of change... Good and bad... so, If you want to have a bad economy, bad health care, and a democratic drone in the white house... then by all means... vote for "Change," But if you want a President and VP that will stand up for the rights of the everyday American... you know what you have to do. You can vote for someone who promises to change the world and gives you nothing or you can vote for someone who promises what is needed and delivers!

Phony politics and bad drivers

I have several issues that I would like to bring up in this blog… The first of these issues is not as much of a hot button as the other… but I still need to bitch about it. I am SICK of bad drivers out there on the road. People driving too slow… weaving… not using turn signals… stopping in the middle of intersections… the list could go on forever. I actually saw a whole line of traffic today where they were ALL on their cell phones!!! The worst part is the old fogie leading the line of traffic was not only on his cell phone but also was reading a magazine on his steering wheel! No wonder why he was going like 10mph! Stop driving like you are a bunch of grandmas or get out of my freakin way! I seriously almost get into a fight every time I drive into town… its ridiculous!

The second of the issues that I wanted to bitch about today is how inconsiderate and disrespectful these left-wing liberal natzi’s are being lately. The reason for boldness of these un-american activists is that the presidential candidates are in a sense feeding the beast. Don’t you people see? They are just letting you hear what you want to hear! Can’t you see were making a difference in Iraq? Can’t you see that you are disrespecting your president? Can’t you see you are disrespecting the men and women that fight for your freedom? Do you remember in 2002 when Hillary voted for the invasion of Iraq? Dont you recall when Bill and Hillary spoke out against Sadam and Al-Qeuda and told the world what dangers these terrorists were? Come on now! Do we really want these phony politicians running the country? The bottom line is we are in this war whether we like it or not. There is NOTHING you can do about it! Sure you can protest, starve yourself, hold anti-war marches… but all that does is hurt the men and women that give you that same right in the first place! Stop this anti-war bullshit and show your support for your loved-ones over there. Those of you that cant deal with this can move to Canada… there you can enjoy freedom from war and all the government issued healthcare you can muster. You are all Americans… so start acting like it!

I know it has been a long time since I have blogged… so; I’m going to talk about what I always talk about… crazy hippie liberals… So the new hot topic today is Sheryl Crow and her gang of tree huggers has issued statements about how we as Americans can help save trees. The first of these brilliant ideas she came up with was that all Americans should limit themselves to one square sheet of toilet paper per sitting. LOL Ya… I’d like to see anyone try that! I really don’t think anyone will purposely walk around with a shitty ass for the sake of a few trees. The second of these crazy ideas that she came up with was that napkins should be outlawed! When I first heard this I thought to myself… “This cant be too bad… let’s see where she goes with this…” sure enough… this was her brilliant plan to replace napkins. She has designed a line of clothing that will have removable sleeves so that when we need to wipe our mouth or nose we can just wipe it in our sleeves. Come on people! Wiping it in our sleeves? Didn’t we get over that when we were 3? See… people like Sheryl don’t know the true facts about things like trees and global warming. A true fact about trees is that we are planting so many! There are more trees now then there were at the beginning of the industrial revolution. Oh but these trees (according to liberal activists) are considered unnatural because they are planted where nature didn’t intend and therefore they are more of a danger then cutting down the trees… does that make any sense at all? Ya it didn’t make much sense to me either! They are crazy… what do you expect! See that’s the problem with issues such as global warming and other environmental issues. People in general don’t know all the facts! Global warming for example… Did you know that a volcano when it erupts releases more CO2 then all humans have since the industrial revolution! That’s something Gore doesn’t want people to know… I got it!!! Let’s just plug up all the volcanoes!!! That will solve the problem! LOL! I’m just trying to give everyone a sense of how crazy all these issues sound to me. The bottom line is before you go and jump on the bandwagon on these hot-button issues. Look at all the facts! Then make your choice. I know its hard to believe… but movie stars and politicians actually lie sometimes. I think everyone, liberals and conservatives alike can agree that the statements from Sheryl sound completely nuts! Now you can begin to see how all these statements about trees and global warming sound to me! Complete and utter CRAZYNESS!!!

Most of you know by now that there was a recent Iraq War protest in DC this past weekend. The protest itself I could care less about… It’s the attitude and disrespect of the people at the protest which really upsets me. These anti-Americans thought it would prove a point to begin spitting on veterans that were present. This definitely crossed the line… If you are going to protest a war… then do it peacefully… don’t disrespect a man or woman that fought for your freedom! HOW DARE YOU! These anti-war liberal hippies are really beginning to piss me off! If you are going to be disrespectful to our country and our vets then you need to move to Canada… Not that Canada is a bad place, I just don’t want you unpatriotic bastards here so get the hell out! (Heck… if Hillary gets the presidency… I might be moving to Canada… but that’s another story.) If you are protesting the war because you care about our troops then that is a good purpose and I respect that so in that case it is ok. I know most of the anti-war protests stem from the fact that the war does not seem like it has a purpose… but in fact it does. Egypt has just reported that they are beginning a nuclear program. This program is to defend themselves against “countries in the region.” Hmmm wonder who that could be? Iran and Iraq! If that doest show what a threat these countries are to the rest of the world… then I don’t know what else is needed to show that this war needs to be finished! Our troops will come home when the war is over… and we need to be here with open arms ready to thank them for all they have done. We need to have parades and statues erected in their honor! Those of you that want to SPIT on them when they get back can again… move to Canada or Mexico… because we don’t want you here! How dare you disrespect the soldiers past and present that defend the freedom you enjoy today! It’s the freedom that lets you protest the war; it’s the freedom that allows me to write this blog. Do you know what would happen to us if we demonstrated these acts in other countries? We would get shot and arrested! Enjoy the freedoms you have! Respect the soldiers past and present that keep those freedoms possible! And most of all… stop acting like hippies and start acting like Americans!

Thanks to Jen for finding this!!

The Browns Doth Suck

December 5, 2006

Scott Paulsen

Some people think that the rivalry between our fair city, Pittsburgh, and the city to our north, Cleveland, is a recent situation brought about by the love of our two football teams, the Browns and the Steelers. After doing some research, I have found that the rivalry goes much deeper than football and has been evolving for a much longer period of time.

I recently came across a passage in one of Shakespeare's lesser-known plays, “Rooney the Second”. There's a speech in that play, a soliloquy, spoken by the hero, Cowher the Chin. He is speaking to the masses as they are gathered at the most holiest of shrines, the Church of the Immaculate Reception, at the close of Act II.

If you don't mind a little culture, I would like to read it to you.

And now, Cowher the Chin's soliloquy, from Act II of Rooney the Second, by the great William Shakespeare:

Lights, please?

Thank you.

“The Browns doth suck.

They suck a lot.

Suck they when cold.

They suck when hot.

Why they doth suck?

Nay, I know not.

But they doth suck;

They suck a lot.

The Browns doth blow

like winds on high.

Blow they in day

and they at night

do blow like hell

with all their might.

Down, late in games,

they will not fight.

For Browns do eat

what comes from dogs

upon the lawn

in small brown logs.

Eat Browns of it.

They daily do.

They dine on things

wiped from our shoes.

And that is why

the Browns do smell.

Smell they of poop.

Smell they like hell.

They bring this stench

down from their town.

Smell you and say,

“Hmmm. Must be the Browns!”

It's either they,

or septic tanks

doth have backed up.

Let's all give thanks

that we are not

from Cleveland town.

Our team is good.

They are not Browns.

Foretold, a tale,

was long ago

about the town

where losers grow

like leaves on trees

and flies on poop.

Smells it of floors

in chicken coops.

Cleveland it's called!

Home it of Browns!

Suck they the team,

As does the town.

The two, deserving

of company;

Each they doth blow.

Smell they of pee.

Wence Monday come,

sated will be

the black and gold

with victory.

For Browns doth suck.

They are a-holes.

We'll send post cards

from the Super Bowl.”

William Shakespeare, Act II, Rooney the Second, Cowher the Chin's soliloquy.

              Thank you.

              Lights, please?

              And a beer?

So my band played the other night at the re-election party for Ed Rendell… it was fun… we got allot of compliments… the only bad thing was dealing with the crazy liberal hippies all night… unlike you… we are not going to whine and bitch about it for the next 4 years. BOOO HOOO I’m going to put a Rick Santorum sticker on my car to protest his loss BOOO HOOO! Give me a freakin break… damn unpatriotic hippies! anyway…

The subject I really wanted to write about today is about my girlfriend… its only been three weeks since we started dating, and she has turned my world upsidedown! I have never been so comfortable around anyone so quickly. She is so supportive and caring! She even combed the depths of democratic hippiedom with me the other night for the gig! LOL! I cant get over how close we are already. It’s like we’ve known each other for months… maybe even years! I am so happy right now it’s hard to describe with words! I am truly excited about this one! Things are definitely happening and I am loving it!

Wow! Let me just say these past few weeks has been an emotional rollercoaster. The death of Noah has come to a shock for all of us. I thought the memorial service was going to provide some type of closure… but it didn’t and I still cant believe it! It was great to meet his parents and friends. I hope we helped with the healing process for them… its gonna be long and hard, but they are a strong family, so keep them in your prayers. I had fun hanging out with all my Jesuit girls and Eric… even with the circumstances… we still had a good time together. I was a little disappointed that my ex didn’t stay for Noah’s memorial service. I know things would have been weird, but the situation was way above the crap between us. I feel that a little shallow of her to not come, but whatever…

On the brighter side of things… so ya… there is this girl… and she makes me smile… ALLOT! I think about her all the time and the feeling is mutual. I met her at a poster conference… and things just clicked! So… knock on wood… Things are definitely starting to happen :-D

October needs to just go away!

I cannot stress on how much I hate this month! The month of October has brought nothing but heartache for the last several years and this year isn’t much different. This past Saturday October 21, 2006, a good friend named Noah died in a Motorcycle accident. This blog is in memory of the two October deaths that have changed my life. First of all, Noah… I knew Noah from the group of girls that I hung out with in college. He was a great guy and a great friend. We would always had a blast when he would come up and visit. Noah, May the angels greet you with open arms. The second person I would like to dedicate this blog too is the late Dr. John Doctor. On October 25th 2005, Dr. John Doctor passed away suddenly. He was the head of the Biology Department at Duquesne as well as a great professor and friend. This Wednesday marks the one year anniversary of his death. He is greatly missed by all. May he rest in peace.
So what does this tell us? What lessons can we learn from these people? Live life too the fullest! Tell your friends and family that you love them every day and treat every day as if it were your last! Life is too short to not love...

RIP Noah
RIP Dr. Doctor

Well, It had been 5 years since the 9/11 tragedy… and still, my heart hurts when I think about it. How come it seems we only remember the bad days so vividly that you feel like you were there again? I remember I woke up too some unusual noise in the hall of my dorm. It wasn’t unusual to hear commotion during the evening but in the morning on a school day... this was odd. I walk outside to see what was the problem. When a buddy of mine tells me that a plane had crashed into a building in NYC. I was worried about it so I got ready and turn on the TV just in time to see the second plane slam into the building. The next is a little blurry cause we were all scrambling around getting ready and trying to find answers. We decided to go to the cafeteria just to see if everyone was ok. I remember vividly walking into the cafeteria and turning around to see the first tower collapse live on TV. I was seriously in shock… again it’s a little blurry… but we were glued to the TV when the Second building fell. Everyone was running around trying to find if family members were ok. I called my parents to make sure they were ok. Classes were canceled because it just didn’t seem important in retrospect to the whole situation. It was the quietest I had ever seen campus. Not that there weren’t allot of people around, just that nobody was speaking. There was a candle light vigil that was threw together that night for everyone… It was truly amazing how many people showed up! I don’t think I ever prayed so hard in my life. It was truly a day of prayer for me and the rest of campus.
What have we learned from the past 5 years? How come it takes a tragedy like this to pull everyone together and realize that there is good left in this country? I know I have learned to find good in every situation and do everything you can to help someone in need. I feel this made me a better person. Remember to keep 9/11 in your prayers this day!

Well I’m not going down without a fight

I can be the man of your dreams

You are scared to see that

I can be something to look forward too

You need to let me in

I want to be your first thought in the morning

And the last thought when you sleep

You and me

Me and you

Such a crazy situation

Days go by and you’re on my mind

Weeks go by and I wish you were mine

Months go by and you still deny

The feelings you hold deep inside

Today’s rant… well its not really a rant… but an article spreading knowledge about a concept know as the Voluntary Human Extinction Movement or VHEMT. This is a crazy movement brought about by extreme environmental activists who blame the human race for all the environmental disasters which occur. First of all… I know us humans screw ALLOT of stuff up… but were not the only ones. Most animals have the instinct for self preservation. This means some animals are going to do anything they can to survive. If that means causing the ultimate extinction of other animals or plants, it’s gonna happen weather we are here or not. It’s a form of natural selection called species competition when one species beats out another for the same niche and food source. Another thing… the extinction of the Dinosaurs was allot worse then anything humans have done so far… so… shit happens even when were not here! So, the question arises… am I mad about this movement? NO! Not al all! In fact, I think it’s great! Think about it folks… it’s a way to keep these nutcases from breeding! If this movement causes these crazy people to sterilize themselves, then they will not be able to breed and pass their “crazy genes” on to the next generation… which is another form of selection… but I wouldn’t call it natural… I’d call it voluntary selection… ha ha! So… if you believe in this crap… please, I support your decision to join the movement 100%... especially any PETA supporters that want to take it to the next level… if this blog intrigued your interest… here is the website for the movement: http://www.vhemt.org/ … warning… u might laugh by how crazy this shit is…

Stupid people = natural selection at its finest!

Over the past several years I have gone through a change in thought about several things. One of these in particular is the subject of stupid people. I used to get very upset when someone did something really stupid... however, recently It almost adds some comic relief to my day. My change in emotional perception of "stupid people" may stem from watching too much Bill Engval.. but who knows... so... what about stupid people? Well, I find it very funny when i hear a story about someone doing something stupid. Why, you may ask? Because it's Darwins theory of natural selection at its finest! Awww shit... I have to explain myself don't I?... Darwin was a biologist who came up with the theory of evolution and stated that evolution occured because the strong survived and the week... well the week died! When your dead, you can't pass on the weakness to the next generation. Now that the biology review is over... back to stupid people. Stupid people also follow this same trend of evolution. Just think about it... When a stupid person does something so stupid that they die, they won't have a chance to pass on their stupidity to the next generation! Well at least hopefully they didnt have any kids yet... I dont know if its cold or not... but when someone dies from doing something stupid... I feel no sadness or remorse for them... I just look it as natural selection... Here is a story for you... So I was wating for a trolly in Pittsburgh... It was taking like 30 minutes for it to arive! The trolly finally came through and I asked the driver what had happened? He proceded to tell me that a lady driving a 05 Lexus had T-boned him at a crossing because she was talking on her cell phone. OMG! How do you miss a big ass trolly! How do you miss the red flashing lighs? It made it all worth the wait just to hear the story though! Oh by the way... the lady didn't even come close to dying... so watch out, she might have little ones running around. ha ha!

If you would like to look for yourself at some of the candidates for the darwin awards for this year... please visit the site at http://www.darwinawards.com/
